WASHINGTON (November 13, 2013)—The U.S. Travel Association announced Wednesday that the Jobs Originated through Launching Travel (JOLT) Act, H.R. 1354, has surpassed 100 co-sponsors in the U.S. House of Representatives, split almost exactly between the two major political parties.

Earlier this year, Pearce submitted an amendment which was attached to the Farm Bill which protects jobs by requiring a study of the economic impact and effectiveness of existing programs to protect the Lesser Prairie Chicken.

Jones Secures Dare County Public Hearing On Fed's Turtle Proposal

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) announced that it will hold a public hearing in Dare County – requested by Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) and Senators Richard Burr and Kay Hagan – regarding a proposed marine critical habitat designation for loggerhead sea turtles. The proposed rule would designate a significant area off the coast of North Carolina’s Outer Banks as critical for loggerhead turtles.
