Today, Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Doug LaMalfa (CA-01) released the following statement in favor of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
 
“The One Big Beautiful Bill Act gets Washington out of the way and lets rural America do what it does best—produce,” said Chairman LaMalfa. “It restarts oil and gas lease sales that the Biden Administration shut down, brings back reasonable royalty rates, and cuts through the permitting mess that’s been holding up projects for years. That means more jobs, more domestic energy, and more revenue for counties that rely on it. It also ramps up timber production so we can actually manage our forests and reduce the wildfire threat. This bill is about putting our land and resources to work instead of locking them up while keeping all Americans taxes lower. I look forward to working with the Trump Administration on this critical piece of legislation.”
