Make America Nuclear Dominant Again

America desperately needs more energy.

Recent groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), ongoing massive expansion of data centers, and increasing electrification in new manufacturing and everyday life have led to projections estimating that U.S. power demand will grow by at least 25 percent by 2030. We must meet the moment now and begin increasing electricity generation to ensure our energy independence, national security, and future prosperity.

Thankfully, we now have a President and Administration that understands the vital importance of securing our energy independence by revitalizing and reforming America’s civil nuclear industry.

President Trump is showing historic leadership by building on exciting developments in America’s nuclear sector with his innovative nuclear-related Executive Orders. These Executive Orders will further reform the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), accelerate the deployment of next-generation nuclear reactors, rebuild our nuclear industrial base, and make America a nuclear energy exporter again.

Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed significant developments in new nuclear. Our nation’s national labs, including the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), are making advancements in fission and fusion energy and supporting the nuclear industry. Meanwhile, the energy sector, led by Big Tech, is signing deals to purchase nuclear energy, restart decommissioned reactors, and build new advanced reactors.

We have the momentum to secure America’s global nuclear leadership, which is essential to powering our nation and economy through the remainder of the 21st Century.

President Trump, Energy Secretary Chris Wright, and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum each know that nuclear power is essential to securing America’s future. By championing commonsense policies that support America’s nuclear industry, we will meet our skyrocketing energy demands, grow our economy, protect the environment, and create America’s New Nuclear Future.

The time is now to seize the moment and expand nuclear energy nationwide.
