WASHINGTON, D.C. –The House of Representative today passed H.R. 3409, the Stop the War on Coal Act of 2012 – which contains language similar to Alaskan Congressman Don Young’s bill, H.R. 517. The Stop the War on Coal Act, reigns in many of the job-killing regulations President Obama has enacted during his first term that specifically target fossil fuels. H.R. 3409 passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 233-175.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today joined the House of Representatives in passing H.R. 3409, the Stop the War on Coal Act of 2012. This critical legislative package includes several bills intended to rein in President Obama’s regulatory assault on one of the nation’s most important sources of energy. Among the provisions is a measure that would ease the regulatory burden that is largely to blame for a decision earlier this week by PPL Montana to mothball a 154-megawatt coal plant in Billings that has been in operation for 44 years.

WASHINGTON– Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Endangered Fish Recovery Programs Extension Act [H.R. 6060], which modifies the Department of Interior’s Recovery and Implementation Program.
