WASHINGTON– Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Endangered Fish Recovery Programs Extension Act [H.R. 6060], which modifies the Department of Interior’s Recovery and Implementation Program. This legislation, authored by Congressman Rob Bishop (UT-01), will help protect and recover four endangered fish species while ensuring that water resources from the Colorado River continue to supply vital water and power resources to homes and businesses.

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 18, 2012 - House Natural Resources Chairman Doc Hastings (WA-04) and National Parks, Forests and Public Lands Subcommittee Chairman Rob Bishop (UT-01) sent a letter yesterday to Department of the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar urging the Administration to comply with outstanding requests for documents regarding the Obama Administration’s decision to institute a 20-year ban on uranium development on one million acres of federal land in Arizona. The Department has yet to comply with the initial request for information, sent on May 23, 2012. Yesterday’s letter asks that the outstanding information be provided to the Committee no later than October 1, 2012.

Amodei votes for 'No More Solyndras Act'

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Congressman Mark Amodei (NV-2) today voted in favor of H.R. 6213, the No More Solyndras Act. The bill would prohibit the Department of Energy (DOE) from issuing new loan guarantees through a failed stimulus program. DOE lost hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars through loan guarantees to high-risk companies with political-ties to the Obama Administration that later went bankrupt, including Solyndra in California, Beacon Power in Massachusetts, and Abound Solar in Colorado.
